As Christmas fast approaches, we are now well into our refurbishment programme and more than ready for a couple of days break from the building and decorating work! We wish all of our readers a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. Look out on this page for a selection of refurbishment pictures during January 2005.

Updated 2nd November 2004
Monday 1st November 2004 we closed and commenced our third major refurbishment and upgrade programme which is now scheduled to run through until early February 2005. Unfortunately, this does mean that we have had to close the hotel during this period but we hope that all our guests, both old and new, will welcome the changes. These include a total upgrade to all bedrooms and en-suites, new reception and office area with suitable guest/visitor washroom facility, replacement plumbing and heating throughout the hotel to provide pressurised hot water and mains cold water to all rooms and, last but by no means least, the addition of a large conservatory and decking area off the bar lounge - which will also be completely refitted along with the guest lounge. So, as you can tell, there will be no rest period for us this autumn/winter and it will be all hands to the pump in an effort to ensure that we complete the programme to schedule. The changes have already started; the old garage has now gone and the oil tank is soon to be replaced and re-sited ready for you all to sit back.....relax.....and enjoy the view..... from the new conservatory! Keep watching this page as we will be adding further, regular updates.

Updated 15th October 2004
This summer saw the arrival of our new signage incorporating our "Goose Rock" logos. The signs have been crafted locally in sand-blasted cedar and this theme will be carried throughout the hotel as each bedroom becomes individually named! One additional double room with en-suite shower and glorious sea views was created on the first floor for this season - newly refurbished throughout. This, with it's stunning views over Crantock Bay, has been named "Goose" - watch this space as more news on our upgrade programme is released!

And all you golfers out there don't forget our special offer with Out To Play Golf!
