Web site has been re-launched now to reflect our new image following the completion of all the major refurbishment work. Along side this, we are pleased to announce that we have now introduced Skinner's Cornish Storm Lager on extra cold draught - a light, clean tasting, beautifully balanced strong (5.0%) lager beer naturally brewed in Truro, Cornwall, with the finest Cornish Barley, Wheat Malt and English and American hops, and it is already "going down a storm" with the residents here! So? What are you waiting for? Even though the poppies in the fields are now past their prime it must be time for you to - come on down to visit and, then - sit back.....relax.....and enjoy the view

Hot News!!!!!

Following our refurbishment work we have now been re-inspected by RAC Hotels and have been awarded TWO STARS under the Hotel grading scheme. This was our target grading from day one and we are really chuffed to have achieved this award. Many thanks to all of our advisors, business support mentors, builders and suppliers without whose stoic work we would never have achieved this grade.

Now, we look forward to welcoming you, our customers both new and old, to the Fairbank Hotel - the place to - sit back.....relax.....and enjoy the view

Updated 25th April 2005
The refurbishment is now virtually complete, with only a few, minor, finishing touches to the rooms to complete and for the glass panels to be delivered for the top section of decking outside the conservatory. It has to be seen to be believed! We managed to open to guests again from the 22nd March and had a very busy Easter weekend; that made a welcome change for us to be able to concentrate on our guests once again as opposed to wielding a variety of brushes and tools and, thankfully, the transformation here has been well received by everyone!

Work has now started on updating our website to reflect our new image and we are now implementing an IT Project which, hopefully, will finally see broadband capability here with WiFi access to the internet for those of our guests who require connectivity and a webcam view of Crantock Bay from here for those of our guests missing this glorious part of Cornwall! Watch this space for news on these exciting developments along with some wonderful offers over the coming months. For those interested now, please take a look at our entry on www.cornish-holiday.com where a few of our new photographs are now displayed. Contact us now via their enquiry form for some very special deals during April and May but be sure to hurry as these are all subject to room availability and please make sure you mention cornish-holiday.com when making your enquiry!

We look forward to welcoming you to the Fairbank Hotel - the place to - sit back.....relax.....and enjoy the view

Updated 27th February 2005
With February almost over, all the bedrooms and en-suites have now been completed with new carpets laid and furniture part delivered, with more arriving on Tuesday, 1st March. On the ground floor the changes to the dining room are complete and the new conservatory and bar are stunning! Carpets for the entire ground floor are due to be fitted during the second week of March at which time the new bar furniture is also scheduled to be delivered. Work commences shortly on the new decking area off the conservatory along with some other exterior works. We are on target still for re-opening before Easter and look forward to welcoming guests back to the Fairbank to sit back.....relax.....and enjoy the view!

Updated 24th January 2005
With January almost over, we are now starting to complete some areas of our building and decorating work. The conservatory has been erected and now awaiting the final plastering and fit-out. The view is stunning - one certainly to be enjoyed once all the finishing touches have been completed. The majority of bedrooms and en-suites have now been completed and work continues at pace on replacing the heating and water systems and the alterations to the entire reception area. However, we have uncovered additional problems and the flat roof over the dining room and bar lounge is now in the process of being replaced with new insulated ceilings being installed! Unfortunately, as a result of the additional refurbishment work that we are now undertaking, we have had to delay our planned re-opening date until Tuesday, 22nd March 2005 - just in time for Easter. We apologise for this slight delay to our planned schedule but we do believe that it is important to complete all aspects of this refurbishment before we welcome you all to sit back.....relax.....and enjoy the view which is truly stunning from the conservatory and bar lounge!
